What we collect when you visit Brief or enroll in the course, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Brief is run by a small team. We collect the minimum we need to sell and deliver the course, and we do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
What we collect
When you enroll we collect your name, email address and billing details. Payment card numbers are handled entirely by our payment processor: they never touch our servers. When you browse the site we collect anonymous, aggregated analytics such as page views and referrers.
If you join a cohort, we also store the work you submit inside the course workspace so that you and your instructor can see it. That material is visible only to you, your instructor, and members of your cohort where you choose to share it.
Why we collect it
To take payment, give you access to the course, send you cohort logistics, and answer your questions. We send course email because you enrolled. We send marketing email only if you asked for it, and every one of those has an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make the course run: our payment processor, our email provider, and our course platform. Each is bound by its own data agreement and gets only what it needs. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@brief.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your personal data, though we keep the records tax law requires us to keep.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and a privacy-friendly analytics cookie to count visits. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
